All right, it has been over a year since I last wrote a journal entry, and until I come up with more deviations to upload onto here, why not write a much overdue update of sorts?
Newfound adoration for "Love Live! School Idol Project" aside, with "Cardfight!! Vanguard: Legion Mate" airing now, I have been tempted for the longest time to get Sendou Aichi's outfit from that arc done. Maybe with 's help after returning from vacation overseas, there is a chance that I could get it done before Yaoi-Con next month! Speaking of Yaoi-Con, I would probably attend only one day because money and time reasons plus I don't think I have cosplays to fit with the theme of the convention. I mean I guess Friday of Yaoi-Con happens to fall on Minami Kotori's birthday and one of the guests of honor, Reika, happens to be quite the big "Love Live!" fan herself, so a Honoka cosplay cannot hurt. And hey, maybe this Honoka might have what it takes to get the world renowned cosplayer to jump on becoming a school idol! Well, maybe if I sell some stuff I no longer care too much about, I might be down to attend all 3 days!
No Japan Expo USA (or Anime California for that matter) for me this year, by the way. I made no preparations for the event nor do I want to spend the money in transportation and registration costs.
As for later events, Pacific Media Expo will close off my conventions for 2014. I will most likely be re-wearing cosplays I already have (Final list to be determined) unless I can get in touch with a friend of mine to finish something we were supposed to debut for Anime Expo 2014 (If you follow my Facebook Page, you would know what I am referring to.). 2015 will most likely stay the usual lineup of Anime Los Angeles and FanimeCon in the earlier half of the year unless college decides to screw with me and force me out of the loop. That said, assuming we don't end up having to find any replacements, I should be a part of a complete µ's cosplay group for Anime Expo 2015, this time as the girls in their "それは僕たちの奇跡" outfits and hopefully getting down and performing the dance sequence for the opening cut at the least!
To close it off before this becomes too long of a read, I want to bring up an achievement I have made very recently during my cosplay career I thought I would never be able to achieve because of how subpar of a cosplayer I am compared to everyone else who gets featured in these, but yes, I have FINALLY made a proper appearance in a cosplay music video that I actually know the link of (I was SUPPOSED to appear in one taken at Anime Expo 2013 with and another taken at Anime Los Angeles 2014, but I never received or found the links for those.)! Thank you, again, (Rave2theJ Photography), for the opportunity! That said, in order to promote myself some more (Yes, I am fully aware that cosplay should be for fun and not for popularity, but it does not hurt to get more recognition, right?), I will get down to designing and ordering cosplay cards some time soon, so I may upload some prototype designs onto here, my Facebook Page, or both, and I would really appreciate some input on those!
Until next time! Expect some deviations to start flowing in again some time soon! Hopefully it wouldn't be too long of a wait!
